Leo Ignatius Welsh
AOH Division 3 is saddened upon the news of one of our own being called home. Leo Welsh, AOH member since 1968, was a great family man, businessman and a pillar of the Baltimore Irish Community. Join us in prayer for his family and friends in this difficult time.

On Thursday, June 22, 2023, Leo Ignatius Welsh returned home to the God to whom he prayed daily throughout his life. Mr. Welsh is survived by his wife Susan Giblin Welsh and many loving family and friends, especially the Irish American community in Baltimore.

The most significant affiliation of his life, excepting his marriage to Sue, was his membership in the Ancient Order of Hibernians, St. Brendan's Division 3 in Towson. From 1968 until his death he exemplified the values of friendship, unity, and Christian charity as a member, officer, president, elder statesman, and ultimately recipient of Lifetime Membership in the order. He also served as Maryland State AOH president for four different terms, National Convention co-chair, State Convention treasurer, State Organizer, and served as a National Director in the 1980s.

Fondly known to all as "Uncle Leo", he will be greatly missed.
